Prep time: 5 minutes, plus 5 mins of waiting 🙂
Yield: 2 dozen bites

Ingredients:

Filling

  • 1/2 c peanut butter
  • 1/4 c powdered sugar
  • 3 tbsp protein powder of your choice (I used LIVfit Superfood Blend with Protein)
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 c chocolate chips (crushed)
  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts (optional)

Coating

  • 1 c chocolate chips
  • 2 tsp oil (something mild in taste like avocado oil or any nut oil you like)

    Directions:

    1. Stir all filling ingredients together to form a dough
    2. Put it in the fridge for 5 mins or so to firm it up
    3. Roll a scant tbsp of dough into a ball, flatten and set aside on a tray lined with waxed paper
    4. Melt coating ingredients in microwave for 1 min (or on stovetop on low)
    5. Stir melted chocolate (heat for longer if not melted)
    6. Dip patties in melted chocolate, set aside on tray lined with waxed paper and place in fridge to set

    Notes

I like to keep them in a jar in the fridge but you can leave them in a jar in a cool location on the counter if you like.

Get creative, use milk chocolate or dark chocolate, add whatever you like or leave out the healthy stuff altogether. My crew approves of this version. Enjoy!
